About Us

Michigan CLC is the outcome of a series of meetings of cooperators from across Michigan between 2022 and 2023. Members and leaders of the Inter-Cooperative Council at Ann Arbor, the Grand Rapids Alliance of Cooperative Communities, and Spring Collective (and some other friends!) came together at the Spartan Housing Cooperative in East Lansing to enumerate their common struggles, and identify and create solutions. In October 2023, MCLC was incorporated as one of those solutions!
